Mike Wiggins, born in September 1945 in Pensacola, Florida, is an American businessman and politician. He served as the 61st mayor of Pensacola from 2009 to 2011. Before his political career, Wiggins attended Pensacola Junior College and earned a degree in finance from Florida State University. He then served in the United States Navy as an officer, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Wiggins began his political journey in 1994 when he was elected to the Pensacola City Council, representing At-large district C. During his tenure as mayor, Wiggins played a key role in the establishment of the Community Maritime Park and the response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
