Mikie Sherrill

Rebecca Michelle Sherrill, known as Mikie Sherrill, is an American politician and former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot. Born on January 19, 1972, in Alexandria, Virginia, she grew up in various locations along the East Coast. Sherrill graduated from South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia, and went on to earn a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy in 1994. She also holds an MSc in international and world history from the London School of Economics and a certificate in Arabic language from the American University in Cairo. Sherrill is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving as the U.S. representative for NJ's 11th congressional district since 2019.
