Milton Berle (1908-2002) was an American actor and comedian known for his work in silent films, radio, movies, and television. Born into a Jewish family in Manhattan, Berle began his career as a child actor in silent films and later transitioned to radio. He gained widespread fame as the host of NBC's Texaco Star Theatre during the first Golden Age of Television, earning the nicknames 'Uncle Miltie' and 'Mr. Television.' Berle was honored with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to radio and TV. With a career spanning over eight decades, Berle established himself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
