Mimi Kuzyk Biography
Mimi Kuzyk (born February 21, 1952) is a Canadian actress. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Ukrainian immigrant parents. Kuzyk received her early education at the Immaculate Heart of Mary School and danced with the Rusalka Ukrainian dance group for 12 years. She made her film debut in the 1984 film, He's Fired, She's Hired, and has since appeared in numerous films and television series. Notable among her roles is Detective Patsy Mayo on Hill Street Blues from 1984 to 1986. Kuzyk received a Genie Award nomination for her work in the 2001 Canadian drama Lost and Delirious, as well as Gemini Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress. In 2001, she served as the parade marshal for the Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival in Toronto, Ontario.
