Mimi Weddell (February 15, 1915 – September 24, 2009) was an American actress known for her role as Stanford's grandmother on Sex and the City. Born Marion Rogers in Williston, North Dakota, on February 15, 1915, she later moved to New York City after her first marriage ended in divorce. Weddell worked as an assistant to the fashion editor at The New York Times before marrying Richard Weddell in 1946. It was after the death of her husband in 1981 that she began her acting career at the age of 65. Weddell appeared in the 1980 horror film The Sentinel and was featured in the documentary film Hats Off, which explored her life and her collection of 150 hats.
