Ming-Na Wen is an American actress born on November 20, 1963. She gained recognition for her role as June Woo in the film The Joy Luck Club (1993) and as Dr. Jing-Mei 'Deb' Chen in the TV series ER (1995–2004). Wen is best known for her voice work as Mulan in Disney's animated film Mulan and its sequel, as well as for her portrayal of Melinda May in the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020). She has also appeared in various other projects, including Star Wars: The Mandalorian (2019–2020), Street Fighter (1994), The Batman (2004–2005), and Stargate Universe (2009–2011). Wen's talent has been recognized, earning her accolades such as TVLine's Performer of the Week.
