Miriam McDonald

Miriam Katherine McDonald (born July 26, 1987) is a Canadian actress known for her role as Emma Nelson in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. McDonald began her acting career in 1999 with a role in the series System Crash, and later worked as a voiceover actress, voicing a total of 39 characters. In 2001, she was cast as Emma Nelson in Degrassi: The Next Generation, where she starred for all nine seasons. McDonald has also appeared in the made-for-television movie She's Too Young in 2004, and had guest roles in shows like Naturally, Sadie and Lost Girl. In 2018, she made an appearance in Orphan Black.
