Miriam Silverman Biography
Miriam Rose Silverman is an American actress known for her work on stage and screen. She began her career in theater after studying acting at Brown University, appearing in off-Broadway productions such as the Public Theatre's production of Hamlet in 2008. In 2013, she received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Play for her role in Finks by Joe Gilford. Silverman made her Broadway debut in Junk by Ayad Akhtar in 2017, and later won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her portrayal of Mavis Parodus Bryson in the revival of The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window in 2023. She is also recognized for her recurring role as Bernice in the Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and has appeared in Hulu's Fleishman Is in Trouble and Amazon's Dead Ringers. In addition to her acting career, Silverman serves as an acting coach and is currently a theater professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Miriam Silverman was born and raised in Manhattan, New York City.
