Misan Harriman
Misan Harriman (born 1977) is a Nigerian-born British photographer, entrepreneur, and social activist. He gained recognition as one of the most widely-shared photographers of the Black Lives Matter movement and became the first black man to shoot a cover of British Vogue in the magazine's 104-year history. Harriman was born in Calabar, Nigeria, and attended Stubbington House School and Bradfield College in England. After working in recruitment in the City of London, he founded the Internet media agency What We Seee in 2016. Harriman's passion for photography led him to start capturing images in 2017, and he is entirely self-taught. In July 2021, he assumed the role of Chair at the Southbank Centre in London.
