Mitchell Green

Mitchell Green is a professor of philosophy at the University of Connecticut. He is also a member of the steering committee of the Cognitive Science program and the executive committee of the Graduate School at the university. In addition to his teaching and administrative roles, Green serves as the editor-in-chief of the journal Philosophia. His research focuses on various areas including philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, aesthetics, and pragmatics. Green has made significant contributions to speech act theory, the evolutionary biology of communication, empathy, self-knowledge, self-expression, attitude ascription, and the epistemology of fiction. His work has been recognized with special issues of Grazer Philosophische Studien and Organon Filozofi.
