American Gangster is a 2007 crime film directed by Ridley Scott, loosely based on the criminal career of Frank Lucas. The movie follows Lucas as he becomes the top importer of heroin in Harlem by sourcing directly from South East Asia, and smuggling the drugs into the United States. The story is partly based on true events.
