Confidential (1997), and The Insider (1999). He achieved widespread fame and won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Maximus Decimus Meridius in Gladiator (2000). Crowe has also been acclaimed for his performances in A Beautiful Mind (2001), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), Cinderella Man (2005), and 3:10 to Yuma (2007).
