Mitchell Wilson Lichtenstein (born March 10, 1956) is an American actor, writer, producer, and director. He first gained recognition for his role in the 1983 film Lords of Discipline. Lichtenstein's notable film appearances include The Wedding Banquet (1993), where he portrayed the partner of a gay Taiwanese man in a forced marriage, and Streamers, for which he and his co-stars received the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival. In 2007, Lichtenstein produced, wrote, and directed the black comedy horror film Teeth, which explores the vagina dentata myth. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received positive reviews.
