Molly Cheek Biography
Molly Cheek (born March 2, 1950) is an American actress known for her roles in television sitcoms and films. After graduating from Connecticut College, she began her career in dinner-theater productions and summer stock. Cheek gained recognition for her portrayal of Nancy Bancroft on It's Garry Shandling's Show (1986–1990) and Nancy Henderson on Harry and the Hendersons (1991–1993). She has also had main roles in several short-lived television shows and made guest appearances on popular series such as St. Elsewhere, Diagnosis Murder, Family Ties, Murder, She Wrote, Once and Again, and Cold Case. Cheek is notable for playing Jim Levenstein's mother in the American Pie film series (1999 and sequels) and has appeared in other films including Purple People Eater (1988), April's Shower (2003), A Lot like Love (2005), Good Time Max (2007), and Drag Me to Hell (2009).
