Molly Ringwald

Molly Kathleen Ringwald (born February 18, 1968) is an American actress, writer, and translator. She gained early recognition as a child actress on the sitcoms Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life. Ringwald's breakthrough came with her performances in the teen films Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink, which solidified her status as a teen idol and a prominent member of the 'Brat Pack.' In the late 1980s, she transitioned to more mature roles in films like King Lear and The Pick-up Artist. Ringwald later moved to Paris and acted in French films. In recent years, she has appeared in television shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Riverdale, Creepshow, and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
