Monica Samille Lewinsky (born July 23, 1973) is an American activist and writer. She gained international fame in the late 1990s as a result of a political scandal involving her affair with U.S. President Bill Clinton during her time as a White House intern from 1995 to 1997. This scandal, known as the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, led to Clinton's impeachment. Following the scandal, Lewinsky pursued various ventures, including designing a line of handbags and working as an advertising spokesperson for a diet plan. She later pursued a master's degree in psychology in London and returned to the public eye in 2014 as a social activist, speaking out against cyberbullying based on her personal experiences.
