Monte Landis, born Max Landstein on April 20, 1933, is a Scottish-American film and television actor. He gained recognition for his role as the comic foil in multiple episodes of The Monkees, particularly as 'Mr. Zero' in 'The Devil and Peter Tork'. Starting his career in Britain, he later moved to the United States in 1963. In the mid-1950s, Landis also worked as an emcee in cabarets and jazz clubs in Paris, including the Crazy Horse and Club Saint-Germain. He even played his own role as an emcee in the film 'Charade' (1963). Landis has appeared in several films, such as 'The Mouse That Roared' (1959), 'School for Scoundrels' (1960), and 'What a Crazy World' (1963).
