Monti Sharp Biography
Monti Sharp (born September 20, 1967 in Monroe, Louisiana) is an American actor best known for his role as David Grant on the daytime US drama Guiding Light. He received professional actor training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Sharp played the character of David Grant on Guiding Light from 1992 to 1995, becoming the first actor to portray the role. In 1993, he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in Guiding Light. Sharp has also appeared in other soap operas such as The City, As the World Turns, and General Hospital. He has also showcased his talent on stage in the Off-Broadway production of Cheryl West's play 'Before It Hits Home' as Junior.
