Morrissey

Steven Patrick Morrissey, known as Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter. He gained fame as the frontman and lyricist of the rock band the Smiths from 1982 to 1987. Following the band's breakup, Morrissey embarked on a successful solo career. His music is characterized by his deep baritone voice and introspective lyrics, often touching on themes of emotional isolation, sexual longing, and anti-establishment beliefs. Born to working-class Irish immigrants in Davyhulme, Lancashire, Morrissey grew up in Stretford after his family relocated due to demolitions in Hulme. Known for his love of literature and 1960s pop music, Morrissey remains an influential figure in alternative rock music.
