Moses Sumney Biography
Moses Sumney is a Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter known for his soulful and introspective music. Born and raised in California, Sumney spent part of his childhood in Ghana before returning to the United States. He didn't learn to play instruments until later in life and initially wrote a cappella music. In 2014, he self-recorded his debut EP, 'Mid-City Island,' followed by 'Lamentations' in 2016. His first full-length album, 'Aromanticism,' was released in 2017, and his second studio album, 'Græ,' came out in 2020. Sumney has performed as an opening act for artists like James Blake, Solange Knowles, and Sufjan Stevens.
