Murphy Dunne Biography
George 'Murphy' Dunne (born June 22, 1942) is an American actor and musician. He is best known for his role as 'Murph', the keyboardist for the Blues Brothers, in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers, and its sequel, Blues Brothers 2000. Dunne grew up in Chicago and started his career in show business after visiting the music venues on Rush Street. He joined the improvisational theatre company The Second City in 1968 and co-produced Chicago's first Free Blues Festival in 1969. Dunne also had a small role as a keyboard player in John Landis' film Animal House in 1978. As a musician, he has worked with notable artists such as Willie Dixon and Albert King.
