Mykel Shannon Jenkins (born July 3, 1969) is an American actor and filmmaker. He gained recognition as the winner of the first season of the SOAPnet series I Wanna Be a Soap Star. Jenkins' career encompasses a wide range of film and television productions, including soap operas, network television, and independent and studio films. He initially appeared on General Hospital as Officer Byron Murphy, earning a 13-week contract as his prize for winning I Wanna Be a Soap Star. After exiting the show, he returned in 2023 in a new role as a physical therapist for a character on the show. Jenkins also had a role in The Bold and the Beautiful and co-starred alongside Scott Adkins in the martial arts film Undisputed III: Redemption. In 2017, he appeared in several projects.
