Nahnatchka Khan is an American television writer, producer, and director. She is known for creating and executive producing the ABC comedy series 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' (2012-2013), 'Fresh Off the Boat' (2015-2020), and the NBC comedy series 'Young Rock' (2021-2023). Khan also directed the 2019 Netflix film 'Always Be My Maybe'. Born on June 17, 1973, in Las Vegas, Khan's parents immigrated to the United States from Iran. She grew up in Hawaii and attended the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Khan started her writing career on 'Malcolm in the Middle' and worked for Disney Television Animation, including the show 'Pepper Ann', the division's first series created by a woman.
