Nancy Dussault (born June 30, 1936) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for playing Muriel Rush in the sitcom Too Close for Comfort (1980–1987). Dussault received two Tony Award nominations throughout her career. In 1962, she took on the role of Maria in the Broadway production of The Sound of Music. Dussault was nominated for a Tony Award for her performances in Do Re Mi (1961) and Bajour (1965). With her versatility as a pure soprano or a rangy high belter, she confidently held her own alongside Phil Silvers and Nancy Walker. Dussault's talent extended to her role as a situation comedy wife, making her a prominent figure in the 1970s.
