Nancy Kerrigan
Nancy Ann Kerrigan (born October 13, 1969) is an American former figure skater. She achieved considerable success in her career, winning bronze medals at the 1991 World Championships and the 1992 Winter Olympics, as well as silver medals at the 1992 World Championships and the 1994 Winter Olympics. Kerrigan was also crowned the champion at the 1993 US National Figure Skating Championship. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2004. Kerrigan faced a setback when she was attacked on January 6, 1994, by an assailant hired by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding. Despite the assault, Kerrigan made a quick recovery and went on to compete at the 1994 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal. She continued her career by touring and performing with various ice skating troupes such as Champions on Ice and Broadway on Ice.
