Nancy Valen

Nancy Valen (born December 14, 1965) is an American actress and television producer. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Captain Samantha Thomas on the popular television series Baywatch and for her role as Melissa in the film The Heavenly Kid (1984). Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Valen later moved to Hallandale, Florida. She began her career at a young age, modeling in New York City during her summers and studying acting at Uta Hagen's HB Studios. After attending Dillard High School of Performing Arts, she earned a theatrical scholarship to the University of Florida but ultimately chose to continue her professional career in Miami. Valen has also appeared in two episodes of Miami Vice and has worked on various other television and film projects.
