Naomi Sarah Ackie is an English actress born on 2 November 1992 in Walthamstow, London. She rose to prominence with her role as Jannah in the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Ackie made her television debut as Jen in the Doctor Who episode 'Face the Raven' in 2015. She received critical acclaim and a British Academy Television Award for her role as Bonnie in the dark comedy-drama series The End of the F***ing World. In 2021, Ackie had a main role on the third season of Master of None. She also garnered praise for her portrayal of Whitney Houston in the biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
