Narges Rashidi Biography
Narges Rashidi is an American-German actress of Iranian descent. She was born in Iran and later settled with her family in Turkey before moving to Germany. Rashidi studied acting in Germany and has primarily lived in Los Angeles since 2005. She has appeared in numerous independent films and television productions, including the experimental film Venussian Tabutasco in 2004. However, she gained widespread acclaim for her starring role in the 2016 film Under the Shadow by Babak Anvari, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Variety praised her performance as a fiercely intelligent Iranian woman frustrated by her country's direction since the Islamic Revolution.
