Nastassja Aglaia Kinski is a German actress and former model, born on January 24, 1961, in West Berlin. She has appeared in over 60 films in Europe and the United States. Kinski gained worldwide recognition for her role in the Roman Polanski-directed film Tess (1979), which earned her a Golden Globe Award. She also starred in Stay as You Are (1978), Cat People (1982), Paris, Texas (1984), Faraway, So Close! (1993), and An American Rhapsody (2001). Kinski is the daughter of German actor Klaus Kinski and actress Ruth Brigitte Tocki. She has two half-siblings, Pola and Nikolai Kinski. Kinski's grandfather, Bruno Nakszynski, was of Germanized Polish descent.
