Nat Benchley Biography
Nat Benchley is an American writer and actor known for his performances on stage, television, and film. He is the son of Marjorie and Nathaniel Goddard Benchley, and the grandson of humorist Robert Benchley. Nat is the brother of author Peter Benchley, who wrote Jaws. Since 1996, he has been performing Benchley Despite Himself, a compilation of Robert Benchley's best monologues, short films, radio rantings, and pithy pieces. Nat combines his own observations with recreations of his grandfather's work, along with family reminiscences and friends' perspectives. He has performed the show in various locations including Washington, D.C., New York, and Boston.
