Natascha McElhone, born Natascha Abigail Taylor on December 14, 1969, is a British actress known for her work in film and television. She graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has since had notable roles in movies such as Ronin (1998), The Truman Show (1998), and Solaris (2002). On the small screen, McElhone has portrayed Karen van der Beek in Californication (2007–2014), Alex Kirkman in Designated Survivor (2016–2017), and Laz Ingram in The First (2018). She also appeared as Penelope Knatchbull in season 5 of The Crown. Born in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, McElhone took her mother's maiden name as her stage name.
