Nate Boyer

Nate Boyer (born January 9, 1981) is a United States Army Green Beret, football player, and actor. He served six years in the Army, completing multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Despite having no prior experience in organized football, Boyer walked on to the University of Texas football team. In 2015, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. Boyer grew up in El Cerrito, California, and attended Amador Valley High School before transferring to Valley Christian School. He briefly worked as a deck hand on a sport fishing boat and trained to become a firefighter before pursuing an acting career in Hollywood. In 2004, Boyer worked as a relief worker in Sudan, building camps for refugees of the War in Darfur.
