Ned Thomas Beatty (July 6, 1937 – June 13, 2021) was an American actor known for his extensive film and television career spanning over five decades. With more than 160 films to his credit, Beatty earned a reputation as one of the busiest actors in Hollywood. Some of his notable film appearances include Deliverance (1972), All the President's Men (1976), Network (1976), Superman (1978), and Toy Story 3 (2010). Additionally, Beatty portrayed Stanley Bolander in the first three seasons of the popular NBC TV drama Homicide: Life on the Street. Throughout his career, he received nominations for an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, and a Golden Globe Award, winning a Drama Desk Award. Beatty was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on July 6, 1937.
