Nedumudi Venu

Nedumudi Venu (22 May 1948 – 11 October 2021) was an Indian actor and screenwriter, known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He appeared in over 500 films, primarily in Malayalam and Tamil, throughout his nearly five-decade-long career. Venu received three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his performances. In addition to acting, he also wrote screenplays and directed one film. Venu was born as Kesavan Venugopal and had his early education in Nedumudi and Champakulam. He was married to T. R. Susheela and had two sons, Unni and Kannan. Venu passed away on 11 October 2021 at the age of 73 due to post COVID-19 complications and liver cancer.
