Nelly Furtado

Nelly Kim Furtado is a Canadian singer and songwriter born on December 2, 1978. With over 45 million records sold, including 35 million in album sales worldwide, Furtado is one of the most successful Canadian artists. She gained fame with her debut album, 'Whoa, Nelly!' in 2000, which featured the hit singles 'I'm Like a Bird' and 'Turn Off the Light.' The former earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Furtado's second album, 'Folklore' (2003), explored her Portuguese roots and received moderate success. However, it was her third album, 'Loose' (2006), that became her bestselling album, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.
