Niamh Walsh

Niamh Walsh is an Irish actress born on April 17, 1988. She is known for her role as Cara Martinez in the BBC One medical drama Holby City. Walsh has also appeared in Casualty and Jekyll and Hyde. She starred as Verity Rutter née Bridges in the Sky 1 period drama Jamestown. In 2021, she appeared in the RTÉ One thriller drama series Smother alongside Dervla Kirwan, Seána Kerslake, and Gemma-Leah Devereux, portraying the character Jenny, the eldest Ahern sibling. Walsh is passionate about her roles and has done extensive research for them, drawing inspiration from real people and studying the historical period. She is recognized for her portrayal of powerful and independent women in her performances.
