Nichola McAuliffe Biography
Nichola McAuliffe is an English television and stage actress and writer. Born on August 27, 1955, in Cobham, Surrey, England, she trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. McAuliffe is best known for her role as Sheila Sabatini in the ITV hospital sitcom Surgical Spirit, which ran from 1989 to 1995. She won the 1988 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Kiss Me, Kate. McAuliffe has also appeared in stage musicals, winning the Clarence Derwent Award in 1984 for her role as Queen Victoria in Poppy. In addition to her TV work, she has appeared in Doctor Who and Coronation Street.
