Nicholas Gonzalez

Nicholas Edward Gonzalez is an American actor of Mexican descent. He is best known for his roles as Alex Santiago on the Showtime television series Resurrection Blvd, Dr. Ben Douglas in Anacondas (2004), and Dr. Neil Melendez on the ABC television series The Good Doctor. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Gonzalez attended Central Catholic High School where he excelled in cross-country and track, winning the Texas State Championship in the mile and two-mile events. After graduating in 1994, he pursued an English degree at Stanford University and also spent time at Oxford University in England. Gonzalez is conversant in Spanish due to growing up in a bilingual household.
