Nicholas Hope Biography
Nicholas Hope is a British-born Australian actor known for his lead role in the 1993 film Bad Boy Bubby. Born in Manchester, England, he and his family emigrated to Whyalla, South Australia, where he received his education. Hope's notable film appearances include Confessor Caressor (1989), Exile (1994), and Henry Fool (1997), where he portrayed Father Hawkes. In addition to his acting career, he published a memoir titled Brushing the Tip of Fame in 2004 and produced a monologue called The Colour of Panic in 2006. Hope received the Australian Film Institute award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 1994 for his performance in Bad Boy Bubby. A portrait of him is displayed in the National Portrait Gallery.
