Nick Brandt

Nick Brandt (born 1964) is an English photographer best known for his work focusing on the disappearing natural world and the impact of human actions. Raised in London, Brandt studied Painting and Film at Saint Martin's School of Art before moving to California in 1992. He directed numerous award-winning music videos for artists such as Michael Jackson, Moby, and Jewel. It was during the filming of the music video 'Earth Song' in Tanzania that Brandt developed a deep love for East Africa's animals and land. In 2001, he began his first photographic project, a trilogy capturing the vanishing beauty of East Africa's wildlife.
