Nick Hewer

Nicholas Radbourn Hewer, born on 17 February 1944 in Swindon, is a retired English television presenter, company director (2010), and former public relations consultant. He is best known for his role as Alan Sugar's adviser on the British television series The Apprentice from 2005 to 2014. From 2012 to 2021, he also presented the Channel 4 programme Countdown alongside Rachel Riley and Susie Dent. Hewer attended Clongowes Wood College, a Jesuit boarding school in County Kildare, Ireland. With a background in veterinary practice, his grandfather and father were both involved in the field. Hewer has two sisters and two brothers.
