Nick Searcy, born Nicholas Alan Searcy on March 7, 1959, is an American character actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Chief Deputy United States Marshal Art Mullen on FX's Justified. Searcy also had a notable role as Deke Slayton in the Tom Hanks-produced miniseries From the Earth to the Moon. Apart from acting, Searcy directed the film Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer, which was released on October 12, 2018. Born in Cullowhee, North Carolina, Searcy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in English in 1982. He initially pursued Off-Broadway plays in New York before transitioning to film, with roles in Days of Thunder (1990) and The Prince of Tides (1991).
