Nicola Walker Biography
Nicola Jane Walker is an English actress, born on May 15, 1970. She is well-known for her prominent roles in several British television programmes, starting from the 1990s. Some of her notable appearances include Ruth Evershed in the spy drama Spooks (2003–2006, 2009–2011) and DCI Cassie Stuart in Unforgotten (2015–2021). In addition to her television work, Walker has also made contributions to theatre, radio, and film. She received the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 for her performance in the play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Walker has been nominated twice for the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the BBC drama Last Tango in Halifax. She has also lent her voice to Doctor Who companion Liv Chenka in various Big Finish audio plays since 2011 and portrayed Eleanor Peck in The Lovecraft Investigations (2019-2020). Walker was born in Stepney, London, and attended Saint Nicholas School and Forest School. She developed an interest in acting at a young age and began taking acting classes at 12 years old.
