Nicolas Sarkozy

Nicolas Paul Stéphane Sarközy de Nagy-Bocsa is a French politician who served as the President of France from 2007 to 2012. Born in Paris, he has a diverse heritage of Hungarian, Greek Jewish, and French origins. Prior to his presidency, Sarkozy held various political positions, including Mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Minister of the Budget, Minister of the Interior, and Minister of Finances. He was also the leader of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party. During his presidency, Sarkozy faced several challenges, such as the financial crisis of 2007–2008, the European sovereign debt crisis, and the Arab Spring. He initiated significant reforms for the French society.
