Nikolaj Lie Kaas is a Danish actor who gained popularity in the 1990s. He was born on May 22, 1973, and graduated from the National Theater School in Denmark in 1998. Kaas made his screen debut in 1991 with the film 'The Boys from St. Petri,' playing the role of Otto. Apart from acting, he has also hosted the Zulu Comedy Galla on Danish TV thrice. Kaas is the son of actor Preben Kaas and actress/writer Anne Mari Lie. He has two daughters, and one of them, Gerda Lie Kaas, starred in the lead role of 'Wild Witch' in 2018. Kaas has received several accolades, including the Robert Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2002 and 2012, as well as the Lauritzen Award in 2012. He was also recognized as one of European film's 'Shooting Stars' in 2003.
