Nina Franoszek Biography
Nina Franoszek is a German-American actress and film and theater director. She was born on March 16, 1963, in Berlin, Germany. Franoszek's parents, Sabine Franek and Eduard Franoszek, were both fine artists, with her father also being a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts. She began her career as a dancer and worked as a model for neo-expressionist painters. Franoszek's acting career started in 1982 with roles in films such as 'Domino' and 'Be Gentle Penguin.' She gained recognition for her performance in the TV Mini-Series 'Sardsch,' which earned her an Adolf Grimme Award. In addition to acting, Franoszek has studied mime, dance, and Japanese studies and ethnology.
