Nino Surguladze is a Georgian mezzo-soprano born on October 12, 1977, in Tbilisi, Georgia. She studied singing at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire with Guliko Kariauli and later received a scholarship at the Accademia of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where she studied with Leyla Gencer and Luciana Serra. Surguladze made her operatic debut in 2002 and has since performed in various opera houses worldwide. Her notable appearances include the Italian television film 'Rigoletto a Mantova' (2010) and the Georgian films 'Valsi Pechoraze' and 'Metichara.' In 2010, she was honored with the Presidential Order of Excellence by Mikhail Saakashvili. Surguladze is also a founder of the charity foundation Desire Tree.
