Niv Sultan (born September 16, 1992) is an Israeli actress known for her role as Tamar Rabinyan in the Apple TV+ series Tehran. Born in Jerusalem, Israel, to Moroccan Jewish parents, Sultan served in the Israel Defense Forces before attending acting classes in Tel Aviv for three years. She was selected for the lead role in Tehran, where she portrays Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent involved in a ground operation in Tehran, Iran. Sultan appreciates the opportunity to play a character like Tamar, who is realistic and relatable, showcasing bravery, vulnerability, and personal struggles.
