Noah Syndergaard, born on August 29, 1992, is an American professional baseball pitcher, commonly known as 'Thor', who is currently a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for various teams including the New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Cleveland Guardians. Syndergaard's baseball career began to take off during his senior year at Mansfield Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas. Despite being overlooked by scouts and college coaches, he received a scholarship offer from Dallas Baptist University. However, he chose to sign with the Toronto Blue Jays after being selected 38th overall in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft. After three years in the Blue Jays' farm system, he was traded to the Mets along with other prospects.
