Norm Crosby Biography
Norman Lawrence Crosby, born on September 15, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts, was an American comedian known as 'The Master of Malaprop.' Starting in the 1950s, Crosby embarked on a successful solo career as a stand-up comedian, adopting a friendly, blue-collar persona. He gained popularity by incorporating malapropisms into his stand-up routines. In December 1964, he made his first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Crosby also co-starred on The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show in late 1968. Throughout his career, he hosted various shows, including Everything Goes and The Comedy Shop. Crosby was also a frequent guest on Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts. He passed away on November 7, 2020.
